SPACESUIT LUNAR DUST MITIGATION

DustBustersLOGONewwithdots (1).png

August 2020 - Present

This is a project I am currently working on, as a team. Lunar dust has always been a problem since it is highly abrasive due to its glass content and the dust itself its electrically charged due to the plasma environment.

The objective of this project is to design, build and test an active (and passive) system that mitigates lunar dust accumulation on spacesuits.

GEPETO ROVER

GEPETO_edited.png

Fall 2020

Worked as a part of a team to design and build a four-wheeled all terrain rover capable of collecting data and relaying it back to a home station with a range of 100 km.

I was responsible for telemetry subsystem and data acquisition. I developed a MATLAB code capable of interpreting both analog and digital data collected by a LabJack through the telemetry sensors.

NEAR EARTH OBJECT MISSION

Fall 2020

Worked as a part of a team to plan a mission to locate and visit a NEO for future outer space mining purposes. Used MATLAB to estimate the minimal delta V to achieve the desired orbit while optimizing fuel consumption. Simulated the transfer orbit on GMAT.
